Homes Under the Hammer presenter Martin Roberts’s latest appearance on the popular BBC TV show has sparked ‘outrage’ among some fans of the programme after he appeared in the latest episode dressed in ripped jeans and a loose-fitted shirt.
The host, 60, sparked a reaction on social media yesterday after appearing in Wednesday’s instalment of the BBC show dressed in a green and blue checked shirt teamed with ripped denim jeans and a pair of brown boots, with some fans lambasting his style as ‘unprofessional’.
Taking to X, one person wrote: “Has the #BBC not got any sort of dress code? Ripped jeans and a scruffy shirt?? Standards?#homesunderthehammer.”
A second said: “Really? This actually made it onto TV? @BBCOne @TVMartinRoberts #homesunderthehammer what were you thinking! Please have a dress code this is just embarrassing! Ripped jeans and an unironed creased shirt?? Just awful.”
A third asked: “Did Martin get dressed in the dark for today’s show? Either that or he’s been mauled by a rabid dog! State of those troosers!!”. While another echoed: “What is @TVMartinRoberts wearing? #HomesUnderTheHammer #HUTH.”
